Terms and Conditions

  1. COEX Aquarium (www.coexaqua.com) Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as “These Terms and Conditions”) govern the use of COEX Aquarium, a theme park provided by Seoul Ocean Aquarium Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “COEX Aquarium”).

    The purpose is to stipulate the rights, obligations and other necessary matters of users and the “Company” when using Internet information services (hereinafter referred to as “Services”).

  2. If a person who wishes to become a user goes through the prescribed procedures set by “COEX Aquarium” and clicks the “Register” button, he or she will be deemed to agree to these Terms and Conditions. The rights, obligations and responsibilities of users other than those specified in these Terms and Conditions and “COEX Aquarium” are governed by the Telecommunications Business Act and other relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of Korea and commercial practices.

  1. “User” refers to a person who accesses “COEX Aquarium” and registers as a “COEX Aquarium” member in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and receives services provided by “COEX Aquarium”.

  1. “COEX Aquarium” may revise these Terms and Conditions to the extent that they do not violate relevant laws such as the Act on Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Framework Act on Electronic Commerce, the Electronic Signature Act, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization, etc.

  2. When “COEX Aquarium” revises these terms and conditions, the date of application and reason for revision will be specified and announced on the initial screen along with the current terms and conditions from 7 days prior to the date of application until the day before the date of application.

  3. “Users” have the right to refuse the changed terms and conditions. “Users” may express their intention to refuse within 15 days after the changed terms and conditions are announced. If a “User” refuses, “COEX Aquarium” will reject the “User”. “You can terminate your contract with us. If the “user” does not express his/her intention to reject the changed terms and conditions within 15 days after they were announced, he/she is deemed to have agreed to them.

  4. Matters not specified in these Terms and Conditions and the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection Guidelines established by the government and related laws or commercial practices .

  1. “COEX Aquarium” provides the following services.
    1. Providing information about goods or services and entering into a purchase contract
    2. Delivery of goods or services for which a purchase contract has been concluded
    3. Other duties determined by “COEX Aquarium”

  2. “COEX Aquarium” may change the contents of goods and services to be provided under future contracts in the event that goods are sold out or technical specifications are changed. In this case, the contents of the changed goods or services and the date of provision will be specified and announced 7 days prior to the date of provision in the place where the contents of the current goods or services are posted.

  3. If the contents of the service contracted with the user to be provided by “COEX Aquarium” are changed due to reasons such as out of stock of the product or change in technical specifications, “COEX Aquarium” will compensate the user for any damages suffered as a result. However, this does not apply if there is no intention or negligence on the part of “COEX Aquarium.”

  1. "COEX Aquarium" may temporarily suspend the provision of services in the event of maintenance, inspection, replacement, or breakdown of information and communication equipment such as computers, or interruption of communication, and replacement with new services. We may completely discontinue the currently available service for any reason we deem appropriate.

  2. In case of service interruption pursuant to Paragraph 1, “COEX Aquarium” will notify users in the manner prescribed in Article 8. However, this does not apply if prior notice is not possible due to service interruption due to reasons beyond the control of “COEX Aquarium” (disk failure without intention or negligence of the system administrator, system down, etc.).

  1. Anyone who wishes to become a user must  apply for membership by filling out the membership information according to the registration form set by “COEX Aquarium” and clicking the “Register” button.

  2. “COEX Aquarium” registers the applicant as a member as specified in Paragraph 1, unless the applicant falls under any of the following items.

    1. If the applicant has previously lost membership in accordance with Article 7, Paragraph 3 of these Terms and Conditions. However, an exception is made if 3 years have passed since the loss of membership under Article 7, Paragraph 3 and the member has received approval for membership re-registration from “COEX Aquarium.”

    2. If there are false information , omissions, or typos in the registration information.

    3. In cases where it is judged that registering as a member would significantly impede the technology of “COEX Aquarium”

  3. The membership contract is established when  the approval of “COEX Aquarium” reaches the applicant.

  4. If there is a change in the member information provided in Paragraph 1, the member must immediately correct and record the change.

  1. Users may request “COEX Aquarium” to cancel their membership registration (user withdrawal) at any time, and “COEX Aquarium” will immediately take steps to cancel the user’s membership registration upon receipt of the above request.

  2. If a user falls under any of the following reasons, “COEX Aquarium” may restrict, suspend, or lose the user’s membership in an appropriate manner.

    1. If false information is registered when applying for membership

    2. If you threaten the electronic transaction order, such as interfering with another person's use of the "Service" or stealing that information.

    3. When using the “Service ” to commit an act prohibited by the law or these Terms and Conditions or contrary to public order and morals.

  3. If “COEX Aquarium” decides to revoke a user’s membership, the membership registration will be canceled. In this case, the user member will be notified before the cancellation of membership registration and given an opportunity to explain.

If the company wishes to restrict use, it will determine the reason, date, and period and notify the user or agent via e-mail or phone. However, this may not be the case if the company deems it necessary to urgently suspend use.

  1. In accordance with the Information and Communication Act (Article 29), if you have not logged in to the “Site” for one year, the company manages all information (ID, password, etc.) entered when registering as a member separately (dormant account) .

  2. To protect members' personal information, the company destroys all personal information (accounts) of dormant accounts after a certain period of time.

  1. If “COEX Aquarium” wishes to notify a specific user, it may do so using our email address.

  2. If “COEX Aquarium” provides notice to an unspecified number of users, individual notification may be replaced by posting on the “COEX Aquarium” bulletin board to 7 or more users.

“COEX Aquarium ” users apply for purchase on “COEX Aquarium” using the following method.

  1. Enter your name , address, and phone number

  2. Selection of goods or services

  3. Selection of payment method

  4. Indication of agreement to these terms and conditions (e.g., mouse click)

  1. “COEX Aquarium” accepts purchase requests as stipulated in Article 9 unless any of the following applies.

    1. If there are false information, omissions, or typos in the application details.

    2. When a minor purchases goods or services prohibited by the Youth Protection Act, such as cigarettes or alcohol

    3. In cases where it is judged that approving other purchase requests would significantly impede the technology of “COEX Aquarium”

  2. The contract is deemed to have been established when the approval of “COEX Aquarium” reaches the user in the form of a receipt confirmation notice under Article 12, Paragraph 1.

Payment for goods or services purchased at “COEX Aquarium ” can be made using one of the following methods.

  1. account transfer

  2. Credit card payment

  3. Online bank transfer

  4. Easy payment

  1. “COEX Aquarium” will notify the user of receipt when there is a purchase request.

  2. If there is a discrepancy in the expression of intent, the user who has received the receipt confirmation notice may request a change or cancellation of the purchase request immediately after receiving the receipt confirmation notice .

  3. “COEX Aquarium” will process the request as soon as possible if the user requests a change or cancellation of the purchase request before delivery.

“COEX Aquarium ” specifies the delivery method, who bears the delivery cost by means, and delivery period by means for the goods purchased by the user. If the agreed delivery period is exceeded due to the intention or negligence of “COEX Aquarium,” the user’s resulting damages will be compensated in proportion to the price of the product.

  1. If "COEX Aquarium" is unable to deliver the goods or provide services for reasons such as out of stock for which the goods or services the user has applied for purchase, it will notify the user of the reason without delay and receive payment for the goods or services in advance. In this case, the contract will be canceled and refund procedures will be taken within 3 days from the date of receiving the payment. Otherwise, the contract cancellation and refund procedures will be taken within 3 days from the date of occurrence of the reason.

  2. In the following cases, even if the goods have been delivered, “COEX Aquarium” will immediately refund, return or exchange the goods at the request of the user within the next business day after receiving the goods.

     However, the request period is within 20 days from the date of delivery.
     
    1. If the delivered goods are different from the order details or the information provided by “COEX Aquarium”
    2. If the delivered goods are broken , damaged or contaminated
    3. If the product is delivered later than the delivery period indicated in the advertisement
    4. If the user's subscription is made without indicating the information to be displayed in the advertisement pursuant to Article 18 of the Act on Door-to-Door Sales, etc.

  1. When collecting user information, “COEX Aquarium” collects the minimum amount of information necessary to fulfill the purchase contract.

    The following items are required and the other items are optional .
    1. name

    2. birth date

    3. address

    4. phone number

    5. email

  1. When “COEX Aquarium” collects personal information that can personally identify a user, it must obtain the consent of the user.

  2. The provided personal information cannot be used for purposes other than purposes or provided to a third party without the consent of the user, and “COEX Aquarium” assumes all responsibility for this. However, with the exception of the following cases.

    1. When providing the minimum user information (name, address, phone number) required for delivery to the delivery company for delivery purposes.

    2. When it is provided in a form that does not identify a specific individual as necessary for statistical compilation , academic research, or market research

  3. In cases where “COEX Aquarium” must obtain user consent pursuant to paragraphs 2 and 3, the identity of the person in charge of personal information management (affiliation, name, phone number and other contact information), purpose of collection and use of information, and third party Matters stipulated in Article 16 (3) of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization, etc., such as matters related to the provision of information (recipient of information, purpose of provision, and contents of information to be provided) must be specified or notified in advance, and the user may withdraw this consent at any time. You can.

  4. Users may request to view and correct errors in their personal information held by “COEX Aquarium” at any time, and “COEX Aquarium” has the obligation to take necessary measures without delay. If a user requests correction of an error, “COEX Aquarium” will not use the personal information until the error is corrected.

  5. To protect personal information, "COEX Aquarium" limits the number of administrators and minimizes the number of administrators, and assumes all responsibility for any damages suffered by users due to loss, theft, leakage, alteration, etc. of users' personal information, including credit cards, bank accounts, etc. I lose.

  6. “COEX Aquarium” or a third party that has received personal information from it will destroy the personal information without delay when the purpose of collection or provision of the personal information has been achieved.

  1. “COEX Aquarium” shall not engage in any acts prohibited by the law or these Terms and Conditions or against public order and morals, and shall do its best to continuously and stably provide goods and services in accordance with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.

  2. “COEX Aquarium” must have a security system to protect users’ personal information (including credit information) so that users can use Internet services safely.

  3. If “COEX Aquarium” incurs damages to a user by engaging in unfair labeling or advertising practices prescribed in Article 3 of the Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising regarding products or services, it is responsible for compensating the damages.

  4. “COEX Aquarium” does not send commercial advertising emails that users do not want.

  1. Except in the case of Article 15, members are responsible for managing their ID and password.

  2. Members must not allow third parties to use their ID and password.

  3. If a member  becomes aware that their ID and password have been stolen or are being used by a third party, they must immediately notify COEX Aquarium and follow any instructions provided by COEX Aquarium.

The user should not conduct the following .

  1. Registration of false information when applying or changing

  2. Changes to information posted on “COEX Aquarium ”

  3. Transmitting or posting information (computer programs, etc.) other than that specified by “COEX Aquarium ”

  4. Infringement of intellectual property rights such as copyrights of “COEX Aquarium ” and other third parties

  5. Any act that damages the reputation of “COEX Aquarium ” or other third parties or interferes with their business.

  6. Disclosing or posting obscene or violent messages, videos, voices, or other information that is against public order and morals at COEX Aquarium.

  1. If the parent “COEX Aquarium” and the child “COEX Aquarium” are connected by a hyperlink (e.g., the subject of a hyperlink includes text, pictures, and moving images), the former is called the linked “COEX Aquarium” (website). The latter is called the connected “COEX Aquarium” (website).

  2. If the linked  “COEX Aquarium” clearly states on the website of the linked “COEX Aquarium” that it is not responsible for transactions with users based on goods or services independently provided by the connected “COEX Aquarium,” the linked “COEX Aquarium” will not be responsible for such transactions. We are not responsible for warranty.

  1. Copyright and other intellectual property rights for works created by “COEX Aquarium” belong to “COEX Aquarium.”

  2. Users  must not use the information obtained by using “COEX Aquarium” for commercial purposes or allow a third party to use the information obtained by using “COEX Aquarium” by copying, transmitting, publishing, distributing, broadcasting or other methods without the prior consent of “COEX Aquarium”.

The company is exempt from service provision obligations or liability for damages in the following cases .

  1. If the service cannot be provided due to a natural disaster or other force majeure

  2. If service use is disrupted due to the member's fault

  3. Damages resulting from the member's failure to obtain the expected benefits from the company's service provision or the member's choice or use of service materials

  4. The reliability and accuracy of information, data, and facts posted by members on the service.

  1. “COEX Aquarium” establishes and operates a damage compensation processing organization to reflect legitimate opinions or complaints raised by users and compensate for the damage.

  2. “COEX Aquarium” gives priority to complaints and opinions submitted by users. However, if prompt processing is difficult, the user will be notified immediately of the reason and processing schedule.

  3. Disputes that arise between “COEX Aquarium” and users may be subject to mediation by the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee established pursuant to Article 28 of the Framework Act on Electronic Commerce and Article 15 of the Enforcement Decree.

  1. Lawsuits related to electronic transaction disputes arising between “COEX Aquarium” and users shall be filed in the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.

  2. Korean law applies to electronic transaction lawsuits filed between “COEX Aquarium” and users.

These terms and conditions take effect from January 1, 2020.

These terms and conditions are written in Korean language. If these terms are available in other languages ​​and there are discrepancies between the versions, the Korean version shall prevail.
